Inside Med OClock: Creating a User and Adding Reminders
Now that you’ve installed the application, let’s go through the steps for creating and adding a new user. Whether you purchased the single-user edition or the multiple user one, you have to do this so that you can set-up reminder notifications.
Once you click “My Med OClock” you will see a button at the top-right that says “Add.” You can click on it to create a user and add a medication reminder to an existing user.
Creating or Adding a User
First, to create a new user, you must click on “Add User.” You will then be asked to fill out the following fields of information:
You must fill out all the fields, with the exception of the allergies section, to be able to save and add a user to your application. Don’t forget to click on “Save” to keep this person’s profile in your Med OClock application.
That’s it! You’ve now created your first user profile in Med OClock!
Creating or Adding Medication to Your List
Now, let’s move on to the steps needed to add medications to your list and setting up reminders for each medication. Start by clicking in the user name of the person for which you want to add a reminder. Then, click on “Add medication.” For there, you will have two options:
1) You can select one of the existing medication options. These are commonly used medication, but if you can’t find your in the list, you have the option of adding your own.
2) Add your own medication if it’s not already in the list. You could also use this feature for other daily reminders such as “drink a glass of water.”
From both options, once you have selected the appropriate medicine or added your own, you will need to confirm the following information:
Time
- Before/after meals
- mg/UI
- Dosage
Your medication list is now set-up and you will be getting automatic reminders as you indicate.
